Legal
How we handle your drawings.
You are uploading proprietary design information to a vendor you may not have worked with before. Here is exactly what happens to it.
Draft — not reviewed by counsel
This page is a working draft written to be a useful starting point. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and should not be published as-is.
What we consider confidential
Everything you send us in connection with a quote or an order: drawings, wire lists, bills of material, photographs, specifications, part numbers, and anything you tell us about the product the harness goes into. We treat all of it as your confidential information whether or not it is marked.
How it is stored
- Uploads travel over TLS and are encrypted at rest.
- Files are held in a private storage bucket that is never publicly readable. There is no public link to your drawing, and none can be generated.
- Staff access is through authenticated, access-controlled tooling, and every file access is logged.
Who can see it
HarnessMax personnel who are quoting, building, or supporting your job. We do not sell, license, publish, or share your files with third parties. Where a component must be sourced from a supplier, we send that supplier the part information required to buy the part — never your drawing.
What we do not do with it
We do not use your designs to build products for anyone else, and we do not use your files to train machine learning models offered to other customers.
Retention and deletion
We keep quote and order records for as long as needed to support your account, honour warranty obligations, and meet legal and tax requirements. You can ask us to delete uploaded files at any time by emailing quotes@harnessmax.com, and we will confirm when it is done.
If you need a signed NDA
Many customers do. Send us yours and we will review and execute it. You do not need an NDA in place before requesting a quote — the protections described on this page apply from the moment your file reaches us.
